Lucky me!

I feel super blessed. My life is so fantastic right now . . . I just can't get over how lucky I am. I get to stay home with this beautiful doll all day long. She is growing so fast . . . I just can't get over it. She is 8 weeks today and more adorable than ever. We spend our days eating, playing, sleeping, occasionally cleaning, and cuddling lots and lots.

Oh, and she still has all of her hair.

I also feel blessed because I have the best husband in the world. He works hard all day and then comes home and smothers his baby girl in love. He changes diapers without complaining and is involved in every single aspect of her life. Kaiah loves her daddy and he loves her back.

I never knew that I could love Jer so much. I never knew that I would enjoy being a mom so much, and I definitely never knew that I would love my little bug so much.

Our lives are good. Jer is going to start school again this summer and I am looking for a teaching job this fall. The job outlook isn't fantastic, but I just keep applying for everything I can. Hopefully I will find something. It will be super hard to leave Kaiah, but at least I will have six months with her before going back to work.

I know that I only write about Kaiah, but that's because she is the only thing that occupies my life right now. I guess my days are boring - take care of Kaiah, watch t.v. with Jer, start all over - but I like my life right now. For the first time in a long time I feel content. I'm content with having only one car and an one bedroom apartment and eating in every night. Anything to spend time with my Kai.

I've been working hard to find joy in the simple things, and it is definitely working. I used to eat out at least once - usually twice - a day. I loved spending money and being busy. Now I would much rather stay home with my bug. Yep, life is good.

Isn't it great? You would never know that your heart had so much love for a tiny little bug...but you do! Being a mom is the greatest feeling in the whole world. I will forever be thankful to my father in heaven for such a gift. (but now being a granma...WOW!) my heart feels as if it is going to expload!

I can't wait to experience that kind of love! Kaiah is getting more and more beautiful... No wonder why mom kisses her face off! Ha! Only kidding! Mom's heart is exploding she says... in increments of kisses??? (All the madness is starting to make sense...)
